We’ve had the great fortune at KSD to maintain relationships with several of our clients that span decades.
Such is the case with the Master Musicians Festival. KSD has been involved with Somerset’s premier summer music event in some way since its inception 23 years ago. Whether developing MMF’s website, designing posters or brochures, writing press releases, fitting the stage with banners or sitting in our lawn chairs in July to take in the awesome festival atmosphere right here in our hometown, KSD is dedicated to supporting MMF and its mission of bringing musical excellence to rural Kentucky.
Social Media Slam Dunk for Holiday Hoops
Lake Cumberland Holiday Holiday Hoops Classic organizers first came to us for a logo and marketing materials to kick off their new high school basketball tournament. After a successful first year, they came back to KSD for a tourney website.
To commemorate the 35th anniversary of Wendell Berry's ground-breaking book "The Unsettling of America: Culture & Agriculture," the Berry Center hosted a three-day conference in 2013 that featured notable authors, community activists, farmers, sociologists and agricultural economists.
KSD designed the conference brochure, which outlined the goal and format of the conference as well as biographies of each speaker. In keeping with the theme of the conference, the brochure was printed in limited quantity on recycled paper. KSD was also a supporting partner of the event.
A Status Update for Tracking Hazardous Materials on U.S. Roadways
KSD has completed numerous visual communication projects for a highway security program mandated by the United States Congress in the 9/11 Act of 2007. This 96-page report is an update created to inform Congress, the Transportation Security Administration and other participating agencies on the program's status. The publication design included overall formatting, photo editing and the creation of a wide selection of infographics to highlight key points of the project.
The project is a collaborative effort of the Kentucky Transportation Center, the University of Kentucky and Coldstream Digital.
