Discovering Wines of Southern and Eastern Kentucky
Southern and Eastern Kentucky has cultivated a group of promising winemakers and the tourism development association for the region asked KSD to create a brochure to introduce and guide visitors to the region's flourishing vineyards. The goal was to introduce the unique qualities of Kentucky wine, and the people who make it, in an engaging and informative way.
Wine and Web
Cedar Creek Vineyards works in harmony with nature through composting, planting permanent cover crops, establishing native grasses and wildlife habitats, and giving personal attention to each grapevine. From the vineyards' beginning, KSD has worked with this small family business to help communicate its slow farming methods and robust selection of wines. The latest version of the website includes complete wine selection details and a blog, and is optimized for tablets and smartphones.

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture yesterday kicked off its first unified effort to promote the sale and use of Kentucky-grown produce within the state by unveiling a logo that will symbolize the program.
The logo — a stylized cardinal bird above the words ''Kentucky Proud" from Kirby Stephens Design in Somerset — will soon be showing up in groceries and restaurants and on jars and packages of processed foods that use Kentucky products.
