How should we update a beloved college mascot?
Union College (Kentucky) engaged KSD to update “Mack”, the school’s mascot for Union College Athletics. Our objective was to package all the aggressiveness, power, and fearlessness required to take on eagles, knights, buffalos, and bears on a daily basis, inside a figure with a noble character and commanding presence. While Mack is an athletic symbol, he is also designed to inspire pride on the academic side, with his gaze to the far horizon suggesting the bright futures Union College is creating.
