MMF Wins Southeast Tourism Society’s Festival of the Year Award

JACKSONVILLE, Fl. (November, 2013) — The Master Musicians Festival (MMF) held in July was recognized last night as the Southeast Tourism Society’s Festival of the Year for 2013. The Somerset, Kentucky event topped competitors from 14 southern states.

“Celebrating 20 years of great music, lining up Willie Nelson and Family as the headline act, and now, winning this honor, the Master Musicians Festival Board of Directors couldn’t be more proud,” said Tiffany Bourne, president of MMF. “Continued support from community sponsors, our fans, and a fantastic group of musicians has made our festival what it is today!”

The 2013 event was a record setter with approximately 6,000 attending the festival. This year KSD worked with festival organizers to design a variety of graphic applications, including the 20th anniversary version of the iconic MMF logo, website, online advertising, social media support, festival brochure, stage banners, tickets, t-shirts and more.

KSD is proud to have been involved with the festival since 1994 when Gabrielle Gray (now executive director of the International Bluegrass Music Museum) organized the first event.
