The company began in the 1950s as a cooperative to bring telephone service to people in two rural Kentucky counties. Over seven decades DUO has expanded its offerings to a wider region that includes video, mobile phone, internet, and business data. Since the 1990s KSD has worked with senior management to maintain the company's brand focus.

Digital tools, like the branded mobile phone app that allows customers to control and interact with their WiFi internet network, create brand extension and active brand engagement.




When the employee lounge was redesigned, a branded space was created for casual conversations, media interviews, and for documenting company and customer events that are shared via social media.
