SMOKY MOUNTAIN SCHOOL OF COOKING
How do we communicate an entrepreneur’s vision?
With a passion for the art of Appalachian cooking and a solid business plan, an entrepreneur created a fun, startup business in the foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
KSD was tasked to develop a logo, website, and location signage for a new cooking school in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
The request was for a “fun” logo, possibly to include black bear imagery so well associated with the Smoky Mountains. KSD expanded the concept to the Three Bears from the Goldilocks fable — a whimsical nod to cooking. The website needed to incorporate an online booking system, and the signage had to feel native to their original repurposed location.
