We’re Still Playing with Our Food

Food Fight!, our first iPhone game, is a little over a year old now and we’ve just released an updated version with a new character in the lineup. The fast and elusive “Sherry Cherry” is a score multiplier. Hit Sherry and you double your current score. We’ve also added a pause button so you can take a break from your marathon food battles. These two additions allow much, much higher scoring.

Food Fight! was developed as a unique marketing tool for The Doolin House Inn / 2Chefs Catering (note—archive version). Designed to be simple to play and appealing to any age gamer, Food Fight! has done very well in the iTunes App Store with over 60,000 unique downloads world-wide, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Currently Food Fight! is averaging between 100-250 downloads a day. With over 400,000 apps on the App Store, we feel pretty proud of those numbers. A little over 60% of the downloads so far have been from the United States, with Canada and the United Kingdom being the next highest.

Curiously, of all the rankings achieved in the international App Stores, Food Fight! has reached it’s highest in China, where in May of 2010 it reached #12 in Family Games, #17 in Arcade Games, #65 in Games, and #156 in all apps. Food Fight has been downloaded in more than 80 nations and also ranked well in Bulgaria, Botswana, Kazakhstan, Indonesia and Peru. The game has been reviewed over 120 times and has received over 1,000 ratings on the US App Store.

While this project was officially complete a year ago, we can’t help updating it every so often… it’s just so much fun! Food Fight! is available free on the App Store and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

ADDENDUM:
Food Fight! and other KSD iPhone Apps are no longer on the App Store due to system updates that made them incompatible with the newest phones.
