Visualizing Fertile Ground for Technology Growth
The Valley Oak Technology Complex is a 150-acre regional business park designed to attract knowledge-based, technology-intensive companies to Somerset and Pulaski County. In 2001, KSD was tasked with developing a logo for the park, named for the community of Valley Oak, and located next to the Valley Oak Commerce Park, the county's industrial campus.
Kentucky Transportation Center Presents Case for National Center
KSD designed, illustrated and edited this prospectus for a National Institute for Intermodal Transportation Security & Efficiency at the University of Kentucky. The project was completed for the Kentucky Transportation Center, which is the research and development arm of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Housed at UK, the center is a national leader in the development of intelligent transportation systems.
The RCIDA is tasked with promoting Russell County, Kentucky, as an attractive location for industry, as well as facilitating business development. The organization's website focuses the information a potential business would need to consider in a streamlined, easy-to-access format.
Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?
The Southeast Kentucky Business Park is a 597-acre development created by six partnering counties. The challenge for this project involved creating a graphic identity representing those six counties and the manufacturing park. The solution is a symbol with its center a stylized box, or a "product" created by the energy of the six partner counties working together. The identity was applied to a variety of communications.
