Coordinated Marketing Introduces Healthcare Service
Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, the primary healthcare provider in a 10-county area of rural Kentucky, asked KSD to create a graphic identity and develop an introductory marketing campaign for the Heart & Lung Institute of Lake Cumberland.
Introductory marketing materials included a 60-day quick-reveal billboard campaign that was designed to pique curiosity and then introduce the service. Tied to that campaign were coordinated newspaper and radio ads, a direct mail campaign, and letters of introduction to physicians in the region.
Logo for a New Drug Testing Company
The challenge with this project was to develop a logo that is striking, yet professional and serious around a name that, at first glance, seems less than serious. The company name is an acroynm for the parent company Premiere Integrity Solutions.
The logo: The initial letters of P.I.S. are highlighted as distinct elements to emphasize they are initials and not a word. Hexagon shapes are invoked from the skeleton formulas often used to visually represent chemical molecules, and the color palette is based on a section of the bright colors used in some drug test indicators.
