Changing Technology, Changing Image
The previous KTA logo.
The Kentucky Telephone Association was established in 1937 to support the general interests and welfare of the nascent telephone industry. Recognizing the rapid change in communication technology, the association recently updated part of its name from "Telephone" to "Telecom" to better reflect the organization's scope. KSD designed a new logo to support this change.
The new logo features a styled globe to represent today's global communication capabilities. Illuminated fiber optic cable represents a core delivery technology for today and years to come. The 10 "orbiting" circles represent the association of members as well as satellite communication technology, while also paying homage to the organization's telephone history by representing a 10-digit rotary dial.
