Cultivating Student Success
KSD created a new identity for Mike’s Kids Education Foundation that focuses on Mike Caudill’s belief that every student has the ability to succeed if they are given the right tools. Superintendent of Madison County Schools from 2001 until his death in 2007, Caudill was passionate about helping those students who had fallen through the cracks, and was dedicated to improving literacy in the district.
In this new logo, the tools for nurturing student success are symbolized as a watering can, in the shape of the letter M, and water. The students are the plants. And the idea this communicates is anyone in Madison County — teachers, administrators, parents, employees, senior citizens — can cultivate student success by providing them with the “water” they need to grow. In addition to the new identity, KSD created a number of items for the Mike's Kids annual golf scramble, including banners, signs, marketing materials, shirts and giveaway items.
